Location is close enough to Blackpool 10 minutes in a taxi £10 to the tower for 7 people. Right on the seafront opposite a fully working pier with all the usual amusements and cafe.In the summer the beach has donkey rides etc. 5 minutes walk is a bowling alley, cinema, mini fairground, cafes, pub with soft play, crazy golf. The town is 5 minutes walk with a good mix of supertmarkets clothes etc. Next to the pier is statue of Les Dawson. The hotel breakfast and evening meal were fantasic, buffet style eat as much as you like including steak !! Puddings have their own counter usually 8 or more plus hot options. The entertainment is superb for children during main season or school holiday times. Early evening party games disco or magician etc run by very commited staff who seem to remember every childs name, daytime activities, craft room with regular acitivities. Followed by bingo and family caberet. Most small children stay up with parents until the end. Has a small basic swimming pool with deep and shallow end. The rooms are hit and miss Ive stayed 6 times and got a variety of rooms, family rooms, units, annexe etc I like to ask for a room which is close to the main stairs or lift because their are corridors and firedoors which seem never ending. But on the whole for a family destination this is the best Ive found in the UK for food, value and entertainment.
“The Entertainment was Brilliant”24 June 2010 A Very enjoyable stay, the entertainment was brilliant and our residents enjoy it, the location is really handy as is close to all shops and the beach. All staff are helpful and polite and genuinley frendiliy, All in all a brilliant holiday for our residents, Thank you Bond Hotel! Claire Jones,
“great staff and good entertainment for service users”19 May 2010 we stayed at the bond hotel with a service usser and there were 2 staff we stayed in the annex but been told to ask for the premere rooms next time it was a bit awkward with the wheel chair to manouver arround the door ways to get to the main hotel , the beds were very comfortable and clean.the entertainment was good had 2 or 3 singers on each nite and made service usser feel involved with the singing and dancing.im on a gluten free diet as i have coaliac disease the cheff was aware of this and he got me gluten free bread, cobs, desserts,i had a cooked breakfast every day and a good choice of eveving meals.the restaurant staff was very pleasant and helpfull, always rememering i was gluten free .the reception staff was helpful as well they gave us a refund as we payed to go to the wax works but when we got there we could only go on the first floor with the wheel chair so they refund our money.
“What a great experience” I have just returned home from a trip to the Bond Hotel in Blackpool with a disabled client in a wheelchair. From start to finish, this has been a pleasurable experience for both client and carer and I cannot congratulate the management and staff enough for the effort they made on our behalf throughout the duration of our stay.
“Unforgetable” My team took a group of residents with learning difficulties to the Bond Hotel in July last year and have just booked a return trip. I couldnt believe the change in our residents, they were like different people. The atmosphere in the lounge when the enterainment is on has everyone in the room up dancing and partying. The staff couldnt do enough to help us and make sure we were ok. Compliments to the waiting staff who even though they are busy took time to learn everyones name and interact with our residents. The rooms are fully equipped and if you forget anything (not that I forgot some things of course ;o) lol) the recpetion staff go out of their way to supply it for you. I cant sing the praises of the staff highly enough, cant wait to take my residents back to their second home, they havent stopped talking about it since we came back.
“Fantastic Disabled Facilities” I recently took a small group to the Bond Hotel and i must say i thought that all the staff were fantastic and friendly. They were always willing to help.
